AA members embark on an adventure of a lifetime as they set off on the 98-day Autoventure London-Singapore expedition drive which will cover iconic landmarks and breathtaking landscapes<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"\"AA Singapore held \u00a0the 98-day Autoventure\u2122 London-Singapore Expedition Drive 2023 flag-off ceremony on 6 August.<\/p>\n

The historic event took place at the prestigious Intercontinental London \u2013 The O2 Hotel. The event was graced by His Excellency, Mr Lim Thuan Kuan, the Singapore High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, who was the Guest-of-Honour for this groundbreaking occasion.<\/p>\n

\"\"This year\u2019s 98-Day Autoventure London-Singapore Expedition Drive builds upon the success of AA Singapore\u2019s first-ever 92-day trip in 2019, bringing the participants to unique and scenic places.<\/p>\n

In his welcome speech, Mr Bernard Tay, President of AA Singapore and Chairman of Singapore Road Safety Council, remarked that it gave him great pleasure to continue the legacy of the previous expedition. \u201cOur priority is to provide our members with flexible driving routes and itineraries that cater to their interests,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n

Responding to the growing demand for extraordinary travel experiences, the Association has meticulously mapped out an itinerary covering a staggering distance of 25,000km, encompassing 20 countries. This is an increase from the previous 2019 London-Singapore Autoventure\u2122 expedition, which covered 21,000km and crossed 16 countries.<\/p>\n

\"\"The flag-off ceremony was a celebration of adventure and camaraderie. This year\u2019s expedition sees a total of 33 participants and 12 cars embarking on the expedition across continents.<\/p>\n

Three of the participants had previously taken part in AA\u2019s 2019 London-Singapore Expedition Drive. They are a group of passionate Singaporeans who enjoy long and arduous drives, \u201cwith some driving their beloved vehicles, while others have purchased pre-owned or even new vehicles specially for this expedition,\u201d revealed Mr Tay.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese participants serve as ambassadors for Singapore, promoting tourism, road safety and embodying the Singaporean spirit,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\"\"Following the flag-off, the convoy will be on the road until 10 November, passing through 19 countries before making their way back to Singapore.<\/p>\n

Participants will have the opportunity to explore iconic landmarks, savour local delicacies, engage with local communities and forge lifelong connections with fellow travel enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

Elaborated Mr Lee Wai Mun, CEO of AA Singapore, \u201cEmbarking on this extraordinary expedition, participants will be treated to a tapestry of unforgettable experiences, witnessing awe-inspiring sights\u2026 each destination will offer a unique blend of history, natural beauty and vibrant traditions.\u201d<\/p>\n

The carefully curated itinerary includes visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Persepolis in Iran and Mount Nemrut in Turkey, along with many other renowned destinations celebrated for their historical significance and breathtaking beauty.<\/p>\n

\"\"For the expedition, AA Singapore will be providing participants with comprehensive support, including assistance with logistics, accommodation and necessary travel documentation for the expedition.<\/p>\n

Mr Tay urged participants to exercise extra driving precautions and adhere to traffic regulations as they traverse different terrains, climates and driving cultures in various countries.
