When the mercury rises and it is too hot to play outside, check out these indoor playgrounds!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The recent spate of hot weather means that it\u2019s not recommended for children to be playing outdoors for various reasons, including the risk of heat exhaustion.
\nWhy not consider taking them to an indoor play area instead \u2013 here are five options to consider, some of which offer free admission!<\/p>\n

Smigy<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Smigy is an indoor playground with three outlets, with all locations sporting candy-coloured themes and fun sections such as ball pits, carousel rides and \u201csand\u201d pits. There\u2019s also a play area filled with toys at the PLQ Mall branch, handy for times when the little ones have exhausted themselves from running around!<\/p>\n

Run by arts charity The Ground Co Limited, which aims to create meaningful arts experiences for children, The Artground @ One Holland Village is a beautiful and welcoming space where young imaginations can run wild. The nature-inspired play area has reimagined rocks in a garden, a discovery trail and a treehouse.<\/p>\n

Over at The Artground @ Goodman Arts Centre, its Visual Arts Space is transformed into playful interactive spaces, with themes changed regularly. The current theme, \u2018Many Alternative Possibilities\u2019, focuses on the future of transport, and is conceptualised in conjunction with students from Pathlight School.<\/p>\n

Canopy Park<\/strong>\"\"Located on the top level of Jewel Changi Airport is Canopy Park, an indoor park filled with play attractions such as giant slides and mazes. One of the more interesting sections at Canopy Park is \u2018Foggy Bowls\u2019, where four life-sized \u2018bowls\u2019 fill up with mist at regular intervals, which should amaze children as they imagine themselves to be playing among the clouds.<\/p>\n

A surprisingly well-kept secret that should be on the minds of more families, the Children\u2019s Museum Singapore is dedicated to learning through play. Housed in a colonial bungalow that\u2019s just a stone\u2019s throw from City Hall MRT, the two-storied museum has immersive and interactive galleries, and activities for families.<\/p>\n

As its name suggests, Joy of Toys is an indoor playground with a focus on toys. Divided into three play areas, the Main Play Space is suitable for preschoolers and school-aged children, providing a balance between structured play, task or learning-driven play, and open-ended play, which encourages pretend and role play. The Toddler Play Space features age-appropriate toys, while the Riding Room is designed for confident children to explore while riding on mechanical toys.<\/p>\n
