Like adding water to whisky, adding soda helps to release the different flavour notes in whiskies. For high quality spirits such as whisky, it\u2019s a pity to mask the flavour with drinks like cola, therefore we recommend adding soda as this will accentuate the flavours, and not mask them.<\/p>\n

The base recipe for a Chivas<\/em> Highball is 1 part of Chivas<\/em> to 3 parts of Soda \u2013 but we didn\u2019t take up these pages to give you just one recipe. We\u2019re here with 6 of our favourite highballs that we\u2019ve split into 3 categories.<\/p>\n
