She might not be suitable for your household, but she might be able to benefit another household who needs an urgent helper.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the return of the helper is done within the replacement period, agencies will usually offer to provide a different helper that suits your lifestyle and standards more.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the midst of changing your helper, the employer can choose:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to have the helper continue to work in his house or,<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have her returned to the agency\u2019s quarters, where they will still be liable for the living expenses of the helper, for a fixed period of time.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><b><i>Repatriation<\/i><\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note that repatriating the agency\u2019s helper will negate your rights to a replacement helper during the replacement period. Airfare is also the responsibility of the employer.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is best to <a href=\"https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/ablebest.com.sg\/contact-able-best-trusted-singapore-maid-agency\/\">contact the agency<\/a> for advice.<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 14px; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\"><i>The Special Pass<\/i><\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the employer chooses to:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>have the helper transferred<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the helper will be on a Special Pass with a validity of <\/span><b>30 days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Extensions are possible and must be applied for a week in advance.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>repatriate the helper<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the helper\u2019s Special Pass will only be valid for a maximum of <\/span><b>14 days<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or until the helper\u2019s exit flight date, whichever is earlier.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b style=\"font-size: 14px; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\"><i>What if my maid runs away before her flight date?<\/i><\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the employer, you are expected to\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">make every effort to contact and locate your helper.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">make a police report and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mom.gov.sg\/passes-and-permits\/work-permit-for-foreign-domestic-worker\/notify-mom-of-changes#if-an-fdw-goes-missing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">notify MOM<\/a> as soon as possible to increase your chances of finding her<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check with her friends,<\/span><b> the agency<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and shelters.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cancel her work permit within 7 days of her disappearance.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note that you risk losing half of your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mom.gov.sg\/passes-and-permits\/work-permit-for-foreign-domestic-worker\/eligibility-and-requirements\/security-bond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">security bond<\/a> if your maid isn\u2019t found 30 days from the cancellation of the work permit.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Navigating these complex situations can be time-consuming and stressful.
