Oral topics can be phrased in many different ways, and a memorised answer may not address the actual question asked.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Instead, the examples demonstrate how students can organise and express their ideas using varied but manageable sentence structures. The useful sentence starters and linking phrases have been placed in bold.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Students can read each answer aloud, notice how the ideas are connected and then attempt the question using their own experiences. There is no need to remember every highlighted phrase at once. It may be more helpful to focus on just two or three structures during each practice session.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For example, a student might practise:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Beginning with <strong>\u201cIn my opinion\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/li><li>Adding a reason with <strong>\u201cBesides that\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/li><li>Supporting it with <strong>\u201cFor example\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/li><li>Ending with <strong>\u201cOverall, I believe\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>Once these structures become comfortable, the student can gradually add others.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>Developing a More Natural Speaking Style<\/h2><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A strong oral response does not require extremely advanced vocabulary. What matters is whether the student answers the question, develops relevant ideas and communicates them clearly.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Regular practice can help students become more comfortable expressing an opinion, sharing an experience and supporting their ideas with appropriate examples. Over time, the sentence structures used in these model answers should begin to feel more natural.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Students can also practise speaking with <a href=\"https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/articulate.com.sg\/ai-oral-exam-practice\/\">Articulate Intelligence\u2019s AI Oral Examiner<\/a>.
