Racial Harmony Day is celebrated on 21 July each year to remind Singaporeans of the importance of racial and religious tolerance and unity.<\/p><p>Fun and special activities are held in schools to <strong>capture the attention (captivate)<\/strong> of young people and help them learn about other cultures. Classrooms and halls are often <strong>adorned (decorated)<\/strong> with traditional and cultural items showing Singapore\u2019s rich diversity. There are also <strong>designated (assigned)<\/strong> booths for games, food tasting, and performances from different ethnic groups.<\/p><p>Traditional customs, such as clothing and food, have also <strong>evolved (developed)<\/strong> over time.
