Prize winner of the Gustav Mahler Competition (2018) and appointed the Chief Conductor of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, \u00a0Wong leads music-making from combined orchestral forces from Wong\u2019s alma mater, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory and alma mater and the Nuremberg Symphony.<\/p>\n
CultureLink collaborated with Wong and the German embassy to advise and produce the Beethoven im Garten Concert at the Botanic Gardens that drew 7000 audiences in 2019.<\/p>\n
In 2020, in celebration of Beethoven\u2019s 250th anniversary, the ambitious plan to bring together an international gathering of musicians and choristers to perform Beethoven\u2019s 9th was transformed by the exigencies of the Covid pandemic \u00a0into a global virtual concert project of an even larger global scale.<\/p>\n
Beethoven 360 was born, drawing musicians from Singapore, Asia and Europe, and more than 1,000 choristers who responded to an open call from across the world. Conceptualised and led by Wong, Beethoven 360 was broadcast live on 30 Jul 2020.<\/p>\n
