If the title of this article piqued your interest, you probably are the HR guy in a young company and you’re just dying to get that killer company shirt for all employees. But where do you start? How do you make sure that your employees are going to love these new threads? And how do you make sure the end result is a masterpiece instead of an Eldritch monstrosity? Fear not, HR guy, I am here to help you answer those questions.

Designing it yourself

No one knows what you want, better than yourself! If you have some degree of experience in designing clothes or other related stuff, doing it yourself may well be the way to go! After all, you are familiar with the identity of your company, what your employees’ tastes are like, and the kind of look you are going for with your company shirt.

The things to keep in mind when actually designing it are the colour, type of shirt, material, printing method, and more. You would generally start out with a plain t-shirt as the base, and design accordingly.

Colour

One of the most important aspects of designing the shirt is making sure the colours match. Matching colours could literally make a world of difference, not just by setting the entire “feel” one gets while looking at the shirt, so be sure to get that right before proceeding!

Now that is out of the way, time to look at the shirt itself. Do you want a shirt chock full of your art, or will a simple and sleek design do the trick? One tip to help you decide would be the intended purpose of the shirt. A fuller design goes well with clothes intended for more active purposes, while casual and relaxed intent calls for a simpler design. Of course, there are exceptions and always go for what you feel would be the best!

Type of shirt & material

Next would be choosing the type of shirt and printing. Want a comfy, soft, and chill shirt? A cotton t-shirt is just the thing! Intend to use it as a jersey? Dri-fit is the way to go! There will always be the right material that fits your purpose, and also one that fits your budget (damn the budget!).

Printing method

Oh, and have I mentioned that there are also various methods for printing on shirts? To keep it simple for you, we use 3 efficient and budget-friendly methods, which are: silkscreen printing, embroidery, and heat transfer. Silkscreen printing is widely considered to be the best method, but embroidery and heat transfer methods are also available for different requirements and budget availability.

Leave it to us!

Let’s face it, not everyone is skilled to design with Photoshop or Illustrator. These programs are also pricey and unless you use it frequently, it is probably the best not to get them. So, why trouble yourself when you have us at Custom Prints & Apparels SG?

Simply contact us and set up a meeting with our expert consultant, and we will get the job done! Just provide us with a rough sketch or draft of your desired design, we will turn that into your dream shirt! Worried that it will somehow be messed up? Hah, we thought of that as well! With a free design review and mock-up provided, pay nothing until you are satisfied with the final outcome.

I’m not saying that you should totally visit our website right now, but yeah, you totally should. For real. Do it. If T-shirt customisation is what you seek, all you gotta do is give the links a click!
