Morganite Engagement Ring Designs
The most requested morganite engagement ring is a round brilliant stone in a diamond halo, set in rose gold. The halo does two jobs on a pale stone: it frames the pink so it holds its colour against the skin, and it makes the centre look larger. Cut matters more with morganite than with a diamond. A shallow or poorly proportioned stone looks washed out, so we spend time on stone selection before the design.
A Cluster Morganite Engagement Ring
One couple built their ring around a princess-cut morganite rather than a solitaire, then surrounded it with a mix of stones chosen together: marquise diamonds, aquamarine, blue-green tourmaline and hexagonal purple spinel. For Zheng Long and Jue Ling we made an oval morganite in an 18K rose gold band with a micro-set diamond halo. Every detail, from the shape and colour of the stone to the band width, was worked out in hand sketches with the couple before anything was cut.
One practical note on morganite worn daily: it picks up a film from hand cream and sanitiser more readily than harder stones, which can leave it looking milky. A regular clean brings the sparkle straight back, but it is worth knowing before you choose it for an everyday ring.

This wedding band set was made in champagne gold to match the bride’s morganite ring. Champagne gold is an unusual choice, warmer than white gold and calmer than rose, and unlike white gold it holds its colour without re-plating. Stackable Rose Gold Bands
Another couple wanted their bands to stack cleanly with a morganite proposal ring. The proposal ring carried both their birthstones, marquise aquamarine for March and round spinel for August, with diamond accents. The wedding bands were shaped to sit flush against it, both finished with handcrafted filigree, and the men’s band was designed to echo the women’s.
