What is Probate and Resealing in Singapore?<\/h2><\/h2><\/div>
Probate<\/strong> is the legal process where the Family Justice Courts<\/strong> in Singapore formally authorize an executor named in a Will<\/a><\/strong> to manage and distribute the deceased\u2019s estate. This involves validating the Will and granting the Grant of Probate<\/strong> to the executor.<\/p>\n
If the deceased did not leave a Will<\/strong>, a next-of-kin must apply for Letters of Administration<\/strong> to be legally appointed as the administrator<\/strong> of the estate.<\/p>\n
In cases where a foreign Grant of Probate<\/strong> or Letters of Administration<\/strong> has already been issued outside Singapore, we assist in resealing<\/strong> the foreign grant in the Singapore courts, allowing the estate to be lawfully administered locally.<\/p>\n
