Vocaluptuous

Vocaluptuous is Singapore’s leading a cappella group, renowned for their lush harmonies, dynamic performances, and distinct Singaporean identity. With a versatile repertoire spanning jazz, bossa nova, pop, rock, and original compositions, they seamlessly blend global influences with local culture, often incorporating traditional folk elements into their music.

The group features Hazrul Nizam (tenor), John Lee (baritone and music director), Kai Wen Hwang (vocal percussionist and tenor), Genevieve Seah (soprano), Chong Wai Lun (bass), and Takuma Tanaka (tenor). Vocaluptuous has performed at major events like the National Day Parade, APEC Singapore, and Crazy Christmas by Dream Academy.

A testament to their artistry, Vocaluptuous held two sold-out concerts in December 2012 titled Very Merry Happy, under Esplanade’s Late Nite Series. These shows celebrated their signature eclectic style and marked the grand launch of their second Christmas album, ‘Tis the Season, a cherished collection that resonated with audiences far and wide.
