Hit the Trail with Island Wanderer’s Curated Escape Adventures<\/h4>\n\n\n

Covid-19 has put travel plans on hold for all. But if you have to satisfy you wanderlust, why not hit the trails in our very own Little Red Dot? You will be amazed just how many hidden trails lurk behind the frequented lanes and buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n

Island Wanderer has added a twist to this wandering by creating self-guided trails based on various themes. These trails encourage people to rediscover Singapore through the eyes of a detective and unravel the clues hidden in buildings, murals and monuments. <\/p>\n\n\n

All that you need is a Facebook account and the Messenger app to receive messages from the chatbot. This chatbot will prompt you with directions and puzzles, which you must solve to proceed. <\/p>\n\n\n

There are 7 different escape adventures to be explored with friends and family. Difficulty levels range from 2.5 – 3 stars for families with young children to 4.5 stars for adults up for a challenge. Each Escape Adventure takes 1 – 2 hours to complete and brings you to 8 – 10 iconic locations. All can be accessed by foot and no transportation is needed to travel between locations. <\/p>\n\n\n

Folk Tale, Difficulty level 2.5 stars<\/strong> (recommended for families with children aged 4-8 years old)<\/strong>– This trail takes place in the Raffles Place\/ Marina Bay area, and showcases the rich history of the settlement of Singapore, and features old colonial buildings and monuments. <\/p>\n\n\n

Rumah, Difficulty level 3 stars<\/strong> (recommended for families with children aged <\/strong>7-10 years old)<\/strong> -This trail takes place in the Joo Chiat area, and features the Peranakan\/multicultural roots that established the area. You can expect to visit murals and beautiful rows of shophouses. <\/p>\n\n\n

Tradespeople, Difficulty level 3.5 stars (recommended for families with children aged<\/strong><\/strong> 8+ years)<\/strong>– The trail that takes place in the Telok Ayer area, is built around the narrative of old merchants coming to trade here. You can see pretty city art and famous magnificent temples. <\/p>\n\n\n
