Some things just can’t be explained.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>
\nYes, having twins is an absolute blessing\u00a0and every mother of multiples feels special and gifted. And with good reason too. Double the joy and happiness, double the cuteness and double the pleasure of watching two siblings bond and grow up together. But with all that also comes double the work and more often than not, double the frustration.
\nDouble trouble! While it\u2019s no easy feat to bring up a single baby also, here are some things that only mums of twins will understand:<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Murphy\u2019s Law is always in action \u2013 if something can go wrong, it will go wrong and usually at the worst of times! Expect that for the first 3 years and you\u2019ll be mildly amused every time things actually do go your way for a change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. You will never stop being asked if they are twins, even if they are dressed identically, look identical and are sitting side by side in a twin stroller. Even if you manage to avoid that question for the first minute, as soon as you tell someone they are the same age, the twin question will present itself.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. When you pack a bag to go out for the day, it takes you forever and it looks like you have packed for a full blown holiday. True, if the only things you needed on holiday were extra clothes, nappies and formula.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Twins will always be compared with each other, and according to public view, twins should not be considered different individuals. They are twins, so they must have the same likes, dislikes, behaviour and abilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Even when you\u2019re really tired, it\u2019s effortless to carry both babies at the same time, one in each arm. And it comes to you naturally.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            “Oh my, twins? Are they identical?”<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

            1. Don\u2019t expect them to make life easier for you by following the same sleeping and eating patterns, especially when they\u2019re babies and you\u2019re navigating life like a sleep-deprived zombie. Especially when it comes to night feeds!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                \n
              1. You will always be teaching people about twins, be it whether they are identical or if twins run in your family. Even if the twins are identical, some people are convinced that you as the parent must be wrong, because they don\u2019t look identical enough.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                  \n
                1. Having more baby bottles on your dish rack than plates because some days you just don\u2019t have time to get the bottles cleaned before the next feed!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
