Previously, Sabah led this, but now we have overtaken that state.\n\n\u201cI understand that we exported approximately RM14.3 billion worth of palm oil overseas.\n\n\u201cThis means that palm oil development has become our biggest export commodity,\u201d he said.\n\nHe said this in his speech at the launching of the new  Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (SALCRA) Kernel Crushing Plant here today.\n\nElaborating further, he said Sarawak, with more than 1.6 million hectares of palm oil plantations, had recorded an impressive increase in the export sector.<\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5bb1239 elementor-widget elementor-widget-wdt-heading\" data-id=\"5bb1239\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;wdt_animation_effect&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"wdt-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wdt-heading-holder \" id=\"wdt-heading-5bb1239\"><div class=\"wdt-heading-content-wrapper\">\u201cThis means if we continue to strengthen various initiatives, especially in downstream production from palm oil, Sarawak can certainly earn more than RM14 billion,\u201d he said.\n\nHe added that this success was partly due to the hard work of landowners and SALCRA participants who played an important role in strengthening and ensuring the industry\u2019s continued growth.\n\nAnother key factor behind Sarawak\u2019s success is the use of modern and more efficient technology to increase productivity and reduce costs in palm oil production.\n\n\u201cThe use of more efficient technology, such as the installation of panel systems with conveyors, can improve efficiency and reduce waste.\n\n\u201cThis not only benefits cost and income but also ensures a cleaner environment,\u201d he explained.\n\nHe further stated that with more efficient production, income from downstream products such as biofuel and animal feed is expected to contribute more to Sarawak\u2019s economy.\n\nBesides palm oil-based products, he mentioned that palm oil processing is also capable of producing hydrogen, which is becoming increasingly popular as a clean energy source.<\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-16a26b5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-wdt-heading\" data-id=\"16a26b5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;wdt_animation_effect&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"wdt-heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wdt-heading-holder \" id=\"wdt-heading-16a26b5\"><div class=\"wdt-heading-content-wrapper\">\u201cIf the process of cracking palm kernels can produce hydrogen, it can be used not only to generate electricity but also in public transportation.\n\n\u201cThis shows the importance of the palm oil industry as a contributor to clean energy production, turning waste into biofuel, animal feed, and hydrogen,\u201d he said.\n\nMeanwhile, he urged more investment in the palm oil downstream industry to enhance competitiveness and ensure Sarawak continues to grow as a leading player in the country\u2019s palm oil sector.
