Distilled on 11th January 1974, Tomintoul Aged 40 Years Old 2nd Edition is an outstanding single malt which has been matured for over 40 years in the finest hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon hogshead casks.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, a fourth-generation distiller, personally selected each cask to create this rich and complex whisky, which has been bottled at a cask strength of 43.1%, unchill-filtered and at natural colour.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Limited to only 165 bottles, this remarkable single malt displays a rich fruity sweetness perfectly balanced with gentle notes of oak spice and rolling tobacco. The finish is warming and long with lingering notes of chocolate, cinnamon and toasted oak.<\/p>\n

Nose<\/strong><\/td>\nA complex bouquet of honeysuckle, preserved fruits, orange zest and butterscotch bound with cocoa powder, maple syrup and oak spices.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Palate<\/strong><\/td>\nRich layers of manuka honey, cinder toffee coffee grounds and Turkish delight mingled with candied cloves, sandalwood and rolling tobacco.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
