Giving Our Landfills A Break And Help Save The Environment
Recycling Initiatives
3E Accounting is very much aware of this matter. Singapore is an island, and it takes plenty of effort to keep it clean. Our land is precious and minimising waste should be a habit. Naturally, we use plenty of plastics for just about anything. Consuming food, take-away meals, drinking water, and straws to sip our favourite drinks. Most offices are moving from printing documents to using paperless methods to reduce paper waste. We are also guilty of throwing out tin cans and glassware as it is without sorting it properly. Thus, 3E Accounting decided to provide environmental awareness to its employees and commence recycling initiatives. Among the awareness program conducted was a mini talk presented by the 3E Accounting director himself. During this talk, he provided insights about how plastics are made and how long it takes to decompose. He also shared the effects of too much waste on our environment. At the end of the talk, he encourages everyone to create a habit of continuing waste recycling or waste reduction as much as possible. The employees of 3E Accounting then commence recycling initiatives with sorting out trash into proper categories, such as paper, aluminium tin, glass, and plastics. This is an on-going recycling program. Hence, employees will consciously throw the trash into proper channels. The program may be tiny compared to the large scale rubbish problem we have, but consciously implementing the change we desire is vital.
Environment-Friendly
3E Accounting is doing its best to reduce waste and make an impact on the environment. For everything that we do, we must think of the effect it has on the environment. If it is going to tarnish the situation and make it worse, it is best to rethink methods of implementing it. If we desire for the world to change, we have to initiate this change to an environmentally friendly workplace and habits. We, as the guardians of all living things, should take note and start doing something about human-made trash. We have come to the digital convergence age, where we can now focus on reducing our carbon footprint and save our only blue planet.
