This is the third round of support measures to help tide Singapore through the one month of COVID-19 &#8220;circuit breaker&#8221; distancing measures.<\/p>\n<p>The following government support measures are announced by Minister for Finance, Mr. Heng Swee Keat in Parliament on Monday, 6 April 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>SAVING JOBS, SUPPORTING WAGES<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-46321 alignright\" title=\"Enhanced Jobs Support Scheme (JSS)\" src=\"https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/www.3ecpa.com.sg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/photo-enhanced-jobs-support-scheme-jss-400x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"Enhanced Jobs Support Scheme (JSS)\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/www.3ecpa.com.sg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/photo-enhanced-jobs-support-scheme-jss-400x300-1.jpg 400w, https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/www.3ecpa.com.sg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/photo-enhanced-jobs-support-scheme-jss-400x300-1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>Enhanced Jobs Support Scheme (JSS)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To help save jobs, <a title=\"Singapore Government\" href=\"https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/www.3ecpa.com.sg\/resources\/miscellaneous-topics\/singapore-government\/\">Government<\/a> will pay 75% on the first $4,600 of monthly salaries for every local employee for April 2020<\/li>\n<li>From May 2020, wage support levels will revert to original levels in Resilience Budget (i.e. 75% wage support for aviation, and tourism sectors; 50% for the food services sector, and 25% for all other sectors)<\/li>\n<li>First JSS payout will be brought forward to April 2020, from May 2020<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Updated due to extension of Circuit Breaker period to 1 June 2020:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>JSS wage subsidy remains at 75% for all sectors for May 2020<\/li>\n<li>From June 2020, wage support levels will revert to original levels in Resilience Budget (i.e. 75% wage support for aviation, and tourism sectors; 50% for the food services sector, and 25% for all other sectors)<\/li>\n<li>The Government will extend the JSS payout to cover wages of employees of a company who are also shareholders and directors of companies that were registered on or before 20 April 2020, and for the wages of shareholder-directors with Assessable Income of $100,000 or less for Year of Assessment 2019.<\/li>\n<li>May 2020 payout will also include back-payment for companies with qualifying shareholder-directors whose wages were excluded from the first JSS payout in April 2020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>SUPPORTING ENTERPRISES<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-46317 alignright\" title=\"Cash Flow &amp; Credit Support for Employers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Waiver of monthly <a title=\"What is the foreign worker levy?\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mom.gov.sg\/passes-and-permits\/work-permit-for-foreign-worker\/foreign-worker-levy\/what-is-the-foreign-worker-levy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Foreign Worker Levy (FWL)<\/a> due in April 2020 to help firms with cash flow<\/li>\n<li>FWL rebate of $750 in April 2020 from Levies paid this year, for each <a title=\"Work Passes and Permits in Singapore\" href=\"https:\/\/glutenfreepleasure.com\/__proxy_domain\/www.3ecpa.com.sg\/resources\/human-resource-immigration\/work-passes-and-permits-in-singapore\/\">Work Permit<\/a> or S Pass holder<\/li>\n<li>Laws to ensure property owners pass on Property Tax rebate to tenants<\/li>\n<li>1-month rental waiver for office, commercial, and agriculture tenants of Government agencies<\/li>\n<li>Government&#8217;s risk share raised from 80% to 90% for Enterprise Financing Schemes: EFS\u00adTrade Loan, EFS-SME Working Capital Loan, and Temporary Bridging Loan Programme<br \/>\n&#8211;
