Deadline Extensions for Annual Returns and AGM\u2019s in Singapore – An Overview<\/h2>\n

New Deadlines for Both Listed and Non-Listed Companies<\/h3>\n

\"DeadlineThe Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA)<\/a> is extending the deadline for companies to file their annual returns and hold their annual general meetings (AGMs)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The extensions have been granted to account for the unprecedented impact the COVID-19<\/a> has had on businesses. The 60-day extensions by ACRA are applicable for all companies, listed and non-listed. AGMs and annual returns are now due by 31 July 2020.<\/p>\n

Any company in Singapore<\/a> who was previously granted an AGM extension will be given another 60 days. This is applicable from the last extension date. No action is needed from companies to apply for the extension. Penalties will be imposed for companies who hold AGMs within 60 days of the due date if the dates are between 1 to 15 April 2020.<\/p>\n

The new due dates for AGMs and annual return filings are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The situation will be monitored in an ongoing basis by ACRA. For businesses who have an AGM due date after July 2020, the need for an extension will be decided later by ACRA.<\/p>\n
