OpenPlant Modeler and PID are Building Information Modelling (BIM) software applications developed and marketed by Bentley. The software provides capabilities that support the construction of plant design. OpenPlant is the only software that retains its name when Bentley transitioned from v8i to Connect Edition. The connect edition was introduced by Bentley to replace the existing v8i versions. The basic commands remained the same as the V8i version; however, the software interface was recreated to suit better needs and workflows. The interface was upgraded to be Ribbon style, allowing users to get familiar and more comfortable with the interface and environment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In Singapore OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant PID are used in the creation of plant projects such as Water Reclamation Plants. OpenPlant Modeler is a 3D Plant Design and Modeling Software. It enables our modellers to model the 3D design of piping, HVAC and electrical equipment. Meanwhile, Open Plant PID is a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram Software which allows our modellers to produce intelligent piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Both software are very crucial in developing a plant model.<\/span><\/p>

Below is a list of software capabilities that our BIM modellers can carry out in OpenPlant Modeler:<\/span><\/p>

  1. Design a 3D plant physical model<\/span><\/li>
  2. Manage plant project documents such as instrumentation diagrams etc.<\/span><\/li>
  3. Collaborate with point cloud data<\/span><\/li>
  4. Define and manage plant catalogues and specifications<\/span><\/li>
  5. Run automatic clash detection across 3D piping, structure, equipment, electrical and HVAC<\/span><\/li><\/ol>

    1. Design 2D plant schematic model<\/span><\/li>
    2. Generate P&ID deliverables verified against project piping specifications<\/span><\/li>
