There might not be significant improvement seen by human eyes when an image is printed at higher than 300 dpi.<\/p>\n<p>In the case where there is no better choice, we could accept 200- 250dpi files, after considering the following factors :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Viewing distance<\/li>\n<li>Image nature<\/li>\n<li>However these are not the optimal case, because once the viewing distance is close, the image would not look so good and it would reflect badly on our printing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\">Using your smart phone as image source<\/h4>\n<p>Smart phones these days have really high resolution &#8211; our general experience with the smart phones of recent years are that they are good for at least 12&#8243; &#8211; 16&#8243; canvas prints.<br \/>\nHaving said that, it is not a blanket rule and users are best off checking their phones. Generally if your smart phone camera is 8 megapixels and above, the photo taken are good for at least 12&#8243; x 12&#8243; canvas prints.<br \/>\nSmart phones like the android phone do have settings where the user can adjust whether they want to save high resolution photos or not &#8211; so make sure that when you take a really nice photo, to have the settings on high resolution!<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\">Various photo source<\/h4>\n<p>In general, images obtained via these sources are generally compressed files and are only optimal for viewing on the phone or printing as a 4R size print.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facebook (download other&#8217;s photo)<\/li>\n<li>Instagram<\/li>\n<li>Whatsapp<\/li>\n<li>Wechat<\/li>\n<li>Screenshots<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So what resolution do I need for the print I want to do?<br \/>\nWe do have a general guideline on our price u0026amp; size list.<br \/>\nHowever, if you have something not on the list &#8211; feel free to email us with question!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our printer is able to print up to 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution.
