Ruoxue began writing for The Business Times as a South-east Asia journalist in 2023. She was awarded the Fulbright US-Asean Visiting Scholarship in 2026, and is the first journalist accepted to the programme. Her piece on Cambodia’s scam kingpin Chen Zhi, his Prince network, and its links to Singapore entities and nationals won Story of the Year in 2025 at SPH Media’s annual awards. She loves doing crosswords, and holds a special affinity for Laos.
