SINGAPORE conglomerate Sembcorp Industries unit Sembcorp Financial Services has issued S$300 million worth of sustainability-linked notes at 3.735 per cent due 2029.
The notes are guaranteed by Sembcorp Industries and have a sustainability-linked feature where the interest rate will be subject to a step-up margin of 0.25 per cent from the first interest payment date on or after Apr 1, 2026, if the stated sustainability performance target is not achieved.

NAM Cheong's auditor has furnished a disclaimer of opinion on the offshore support vessel builder's use of the going concern basis of accounting for the FY2021 financial statements, after not being able to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence to provide a basis for an audit opinion on the financial statements.
Net current liabilities, flagged by the auditor, of the Malaysia-based group stood at about RM1.1 billion (S$350 million) while net liabilities amounted to RM 675.8 million as at end-December 2021.
