Through our focused efforts in providing quality training and professional development post-graduation for our Homegrown Series musicians, as well as proper and strong compensation in accordance with each individual\u2019s level of craftsmanship, CMAS will be able to lead musicians in <\/span>elevating their level of craftsmanship and owning a sustainable career<\/span>. In turn, they will develop the ability to stand as <\/span>strong ambassadors and advocates <\/span>for music, becoming<\/span> key contributors to a sustainable music and arts ecosystem<\/span> in Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n

By levelling up the craftsmanship in Singapore\u2019s classical music industry through our intensive Chamber Music Residencies<\/strong>, CMAS hopes to see <\/span>an organic and natural development of our audiences<\/span>, leading to a growth of our present creative economy as well as the cultivation of our future creative economy. <\/span>Encouraging the creative economy<\/span> creates the possibility of increasing compensation for our homegrown musicians according to their levels of craftsmanship \u2014 allowing them to earn the bandwidth and time needed for the continued improvement of their craft thus creating a positive upward cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Residency has helped me meet my goals as a chamber musician in Singapore by expanding my exposure through working on new and different repertoire. I have improved as a musician in terms of musical interpretation, which will help inform future performances. <\/em><\/span>I have also been able to make connections with fellow chamber musicians, which has been very meaningful to me.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

With what I have learnt, I hope to leverage the new connections made to programme my own concerts in the future after graduation, contributing to Singapore\u2019s arts and culture sector.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
