\nThere is an extensive range of different deck flooring materials such as wood plastic composite blends, wood, metal and plastic. Although wood is low-cost, it requires maintenance effort and cost will be higher if you want it to your desired colour. Composites are slightly higher in price but require less maintenance. It is good for colour retention. Plastics are the most expensive. However, it is expected to last much longer and is low in maintenance. \n3.\u00a0Metal<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Metal decking for home is extremely rare. Aluminium decking can create a watertight floor.

\n\u2022 The effort, maintenance cost, time is lower and generally long-lasting.

\n\u2022 With moisture content of wood component and temperature of plastic component, it can be expanded or contracted.
\n\u2022 There will tend to be mould and mildew growing in the wood component which became a hassle to clean completely.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Some wood initial cost is low but some is extremely pricey. (E.g. mahogany)
\n\u2022 It requires effort, maintenance cost, time and for long lifespan which can offset to initial cost savings<\/p>\n

Metal<\/b>
\n\u2022 The price range is the highest.
\n\u2022 With low maintenance effort and cost, it can maintain original look & colour for a long run.<\/p>\n

Plastic<\/b>
\n\u2022 The price range tend to be higher than wood and wood plastic composite blends
\n\u2022 Long lasting which require minimum effort and cost to maintain the looks and colours.
\n\u2022 Different types of texture such as grooved, smooth and embossed wood grain.
\n\u2022 The only disadvantage the artificial appearance which may not blend in well into your environment.
