\r\n Best Singaporean Investor to Italy award – Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore <\/h6>\r\n

Executive Chairman of Hong Leong Group Mr Kwek\u00a0Leng Beng was recently awarded \u201cBest Singaporean\u00a0Investor to Italy\u201d by the Italian Chamber of Commerce\u00a0in Singapore (ICCS). This annual award is presented\u00a0to business people who have made impactful\u00a0investments in Italy and helped to boost bilateral ties\u00a0between Italy and Singapore.<\/p>\n

The award was presented to Mr Kwek for the\u00a0acquisition of the former Boscolo Palace Roma. The\u00a0hotel has since been rebranded as Grand Hotel\u00a0Palace. In early 2014, Millennium & Copthorne\u00a0Hotels (M&C) made its first foray into Italy by\u00a0acquiring the hotel at \u20ac65.5 million. This was M&C\u2019s\u00a0first hotel in the key gateway city of Rome.\u00a0At the ICCS Business Awards ceremony, Mr Kwek\u2019s\u00a0Italian counterpart Mr Massimo Zanetti was awarded\u00a0\u201cBest Italian Investor to Singapore\u201d for his acquisition\u00a0of Boncafe, a major food and beverage company.<\/p>\n

The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and\u00a0International Cooperation Senator Benedetto Della Vedova was the guest of honour at the Business Awards Ceremony luncheon.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n

Hong Leong Group Executive Chairman Mr Kwek Leng Beng was accorded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2017. The prestigious accolade was in recognition of his \u201coutstanding achievements, visionary leadership and steadfast dedication that has led to the successful growth of the Hong Leong Group for over five decades.\u201d<\/p>\n

Organised by Enterprise Asia, a regional non-governmental organisation (NGO) for entrepreneurship, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) are one of the region’s more prestigious awards for outstanding entrepreneurship, continuous innovation and sustainable leadership.<\/p>\n

This is Mr. Kwek\u2019s third Lifetime Achievement Award in the last three years, having received similar awards from the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) in 2014 and HICAP (Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific in 2015. Other accolades include \u201cBusinessman of the Year\u201d of 1996 by Singapore Business Awards, organised by The Business Times and DHL, and \u201cAsia Pacific Hotelier of the Decade\u201d in 2000 by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels and Arthur Andersen. In 2015, he received the \u201cSG50 Outstanding Chinese Business Pioneers Award\u201d by Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI).<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n

Mr Kwek Leng Beng, Executive Chairman of Hong Leong Group, received the SG50 Outstanding Chinese Pioneers Award from President Tony Tan today. The award, by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), honours the Republic\u2019s outstanding Chinese business pioneers and their exemplary contributions to nation-building.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n

Hong Kong<\/u><\/strong> \u2013 Burba Hotel Network (BHN), Horwath HTL, and Stiles Capital Events, co-hosts and organizers of the annual Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP), are pleased to announce that Kwek Leng Beng, Executive Chairman of the Hong Leong Group of Companies in Singapore, will be awarded the HICAP Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Kwek will be presented with the award at the 26th annual HICAP being held 14-16 October 2015, at the InterContinental Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n
