Here at ICTS, the procedure is done through tiny incisions of 3 mm each on both sides and the patient goes home the same day evening. The procedure lasts about an hour which is done under general anaesthesia. The patient can go back to work in a couple of days after rest.<br>Before hyperhidrosis surgery (sweaty palms operation), the patient will have a detailed discussion with the surgeon about the procedure and the caveat that come with it. It is a permanent solution and there is no going back. Advice about compensatory hyperhidrosis will be talked about where the patient can sweat in the other parts of the body for example or the nape of the neck and the back of the thighs till the body thermostat is adjusted.
