The heart's job is to pump blood, while the lungs act as the filter, oxygenating that blood before it circulates through the body. Because the two organs are so closely linked, the discussion made the point that lung health shouldn't be treated as separate or secondary to heart health. This came across as an encouraging point for smokers considering quitting. The damage isn't necessarily permanent, and the body does work to repair itself once the harmful exposure stops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can Lung Cancer Be Fully Cured?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early detection significantly improves the chances of successful treatment. Lung cancer is classified using a staging system, Stage 1 through Stage 4, and outcomes are strongly tied to which stage the cancer is caught at.
