CUTERA EXCEL V LASER<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n The Cutera Excel V dual wavelength laser is a current generation and versatile aesthetic laser that treats blood vessels in the skin and superficial pigmentation. In addition, it can be used to treat fine wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne scars and to produce skin tightening. Finally, it can also be used for hair removal.<\/div>\n\n

VASCULAR FUNCTIONS<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n The Excel V is an effective vascular (related to blood vessels) laser. When operated in this way, the laser energy causes blood vessels in and under the skin to shrink, causing them to become less visible. This makes it useful for removing unsightly red capillaries (known as telangiectasia) and purple spider veins on the face, and spider veins and green reticular veins that are commonly present on the thighs, legs and behind the knees. It can also be used to treat Rosacea effectively. This is a skin condition where the face turns red easily and the skin is sensitive.<\/div>\n\n

TREATMENT OF BENIGN PIGMENTED LESIONS<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
\n The Excel V can also be used to treat benign (non-cancerous) pigmentation problems of the skin, as long as the pigmentation is superficial. When used in this mode, the laser energy is absorbed by the pigmentation, which breaks down and flakes off.<\/div>\n\n

The Excel V has a collagen stimulation mode that can be used to treat fine wrinkles, enlarged pores and acne scars, and to promote skin tightening. In this mode, the laser energy is absorbed by the collagen and collagen producing cells in the deep layer of the skin.<\/p>\n

Tightening of existing collagen fibers and the production of new collagen can result in smoothing of wrinkles, tightening of pores, improvement in acne scars and overall skin tightening of the face.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n Excel V can also be tuned for hair removal. The appropriate wavelength and settings are used so that the laser energy is selectively absorbed by the hair roots without injuring the skin. The hair roots are heated up and destroyed in this process, so that hair does not regrow from these roots.<\/div>\n\n
