Objectifs has become regarded as one of the leading visual arts centres in Southeast Asia. She has been a juror for several international photography awards, including World Press Photo, British Journal of Photography (Female in Focus), W. Eugene Smith Grant for Student Photographers, Lucie Photo Book Prize and Magnum Foundation Fund, and was a Women Photograph mentor. She has also curated several exhibitions, with an interest in works by women photographers that speak to local and international concerns. Her work as Programme Director at Objectifs Centre for Photography and Film (Singapore) involves overseeing programmes and exhibitions, and leading developmental initiatives at the centre such as the Objectifs Documentary Awards and Curator Open Call. She also works directly with artists, photographers, curators, filmmakers and other cultural entities across Southeast Asia to develop projects such as exhibitions, talks, workshops and mentorships. She was the programme manager of the Singapore International Film Festival from 2014 to 2019, where she led the Short Films programme and was the programmer of the Singapore Panorama section, supporting a community of Southeast Asian filmmakers through these programmes. She has managed projects and film programmes throughout her career, including as the head of short films, Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival (2024), and a pre-selection jury for Asia Project Market, Busan International Film Festival (2023 &#8211; 2025).\u00a0 She was invited to be on the selection panel of Bangkok International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival, and was a Screener for SXSW (2022 &#8211; 2023). At Amara, Dawn is responsible for the Hotel Investment and Management division. The group currently owns and operates four hotels in the Asia Pacific region, namely Amara Hotel Singapore, Amara Hotel Bangkok, Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa, and Amara Signature Shanghai. She also spearheads the group\u2019s investment and acquisition strategies in the region. Prior to joining Amara, Dawn held senior positions in several multinational banks, and has spent over a decade with UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG. She is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. \u00a0Dawn co-founded Objectifs in 2003 and was instrumental in developing its programmes and partnerships. At her former role as Senior Curator at National Gallery Singapore, she led the exhibitions\u00a0<em>Living Pictures: Photography in Southeast Asia<\/em>\u00a0(2022),\u00a0<em>Chua Soo Bin: Truths and Legends<\/em>\u00a0(2019) and\u00a0<em>Earth Work 1979<\/em>\u00a0(2016).\u00a0Prior to that, Toh curated exhibitions at ACC Gwangju (2015), the Fukutake House at the Setouchi Triennale (2013) and BankArt Yokohama (2011). She was also co-curator of the 2013 Singapore Biennale. Charmaine is also the founder and Director of The Art Incubator (2009-2015), where she worked with over 20 emerging artists to develop new work via residency programmes. She received her PhD from the University of Melbourne. She received a BSc in Economics and Economic History from the London School of Economics, and a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Art from Christie\u2019s Education. Over the last decade, Ning is recognised as one who understands the intricacies of the dynamic art market. As a collector and consultant, Ning has organised numerous art exhibitions, public art projects, curated educational programmes, and contributed articles, interviews and panel discussions about the art market, collecting art and art as an alternative asset class. Prior to starting her own business, Ning spent a few years working at the Singapore Tourism Board and the National Arts Council. Before she returned to Singapore, she had work experience in major auction houses and galleries in London. Ning started her own art collection recently and continues to collaborate with her father on the acquisition strategy for their family art collection, which comprises paintings, sculpture, photography and prints.
