Public Talks held in conjunction with The Film Programmers Lab,<\/b> is a new initiative presented by Objectifs and the Asian Film Archive. It is a 6-month developmental platform for emerging film programmers based in Singapore. Consisting of a series of workshops, closed-door consultations, and public talks, the programme will provide 4 selected participants with mentorship and a valuable support network. Selected participants will eventually curate and publicly present 2 film programmes at the end of the workshop<\/p>

Silke Schmickl<\/strong> is the CHANEL Lead Curator, Moving Image at M+ Museum in Hong Kong. She was previously curator at the National Gallery Singapore and the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, a researcher at the German Center for Art History in Paris, and the co-founding director of Lowave, a Paris-based curatorial platform and publishing house for moving image artists. She has initiated and directed numerous art and film projects focusing on emerging art scenes in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, and has curated exhibitions in partnership with museums and biennials around the world.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Sam I-shan<\/strong> is an independent curator with an interest in moving image, photography, and art and politics. She programmes for film festivals, specialising in artist films and video, as well as Southeast Asian and experimental cinema, working with the Singapore International Film Festival, Art SG Film, Videoex Experimental Film and Video Festival Zurich, and the Southeast Asian Film Festival. She was previously curator at National Gallery Singapore (NGS), Singapore Art Museum (SAM), and Esplanade Visual Arts.
