This three-week mentorship programme encourages exploration and experimentation with image-based work, while developing an understanding of professional possibilities in the arts.<\/p><p><strong>What can you expect?<\/strong><\/p><p>Through working on a personal project, participants will learn how to build a photographic practice, navigate professional and ethical challenges, and deepen their understanding of the broader arts ecosystem. The programme will culminate in a work-in-progress presentation at Objectifs, offering the chance to share their work with peers, industry professionals, and the public.<\/p><p>Participants will be guided by some of Singapore\u2019s leading visual storytellers, gaining valuable insights through mentorship, group critique sessions, and hands-on learning. Whether you\u2019re just starting out or already on your creative path, this programme offers a space to develop your vision and understanding of the photographic arts.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants should note that the programme focuses on conceptual development and storytelling through images, rather than technical instruction in photography. <\/span>The programme is free to apply and attend. Her practice examines how meaning drifts through imperfect systems of copying and circulation, and what persists in the gaps, mistranslations, and contradictions between copies.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Working across books, prints, and moving images, her practice moves between two strands: one rooted in scores, annotations, and embodied memory; the other in hoarded images and circulated media. She works with handwritten notations and personal archives shaped by nearly two decades in schools and amateur Chinese Orchestras, and images made and circulated by others. From there, she traces how fragments and contradictions form personal and collective knowledge.<\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div class=\"gmail_default\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Alongside her practice, she develops collaborative platforms that extend these interests into shared contexts. She co-founded Part Time Book Club, a collective that hosts informal gatherings for sharing art books. Driven by an interest in what others collect, it works to expand public access to art books in Singapore. She also initiated |\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 | on paper, a resource-lean, self-initiated residency structured around conversations and four A4 sheets. Conceived in response to limited access to formal residencies, it offers a parallel space for dialogue, reflection, and iteration.<\/span><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/div><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leechangming.com\/\">Lee Chang Ming<\/a> <\/strong>is an artist working across photography, publishing, video, and writing. His practice contemplates the subjective act of looking and adopts an open understanding of photography as process, metaphor, and material.<\/p><p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/noor-iskandar.com\/work\">Noor Iskandar<\/a><\/strong> is a multi-disciplinary artist, educator and writer based in Singapore. His practice delves into faith and art, meditating faculties of losing and light. He earned his Masters in Arts (Research) degree from NTU School of Art, Design and Media. He is intrigued by the sacrality of feelings, the power as well as failings of words and remembrances.
