She\u2019s a team player who knows how to handle money and other financial matters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Know more about Isabella Teo, our Senior Finance Executive for OOm Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"role\"><b>Describe your role in OOm<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As an Executive in a Finance team, I am responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing consolidated financial statements and accounts, and making sure they comply with the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I will lead and review the work of accounts teammates to ensure completeness and accuracies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Developing in-depth knowledge of organisational products and process<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing records and receipts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reconciling daily, monthly, and yearly transactions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preparing balance sheets<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Processing invoices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Providing customer service to clients<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This role includes keeping an eye on opportunities to save money. Accounts receivable is responsible for creating and tracking invoices. The responsibility here includes assuring that customers pay those invoices on time, so a system of friendly reminders is crucial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Money out \u2013 making payments and keeping the bills paid<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Money in \u2013 processing incoming payments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reporting \u2013 preparing financial reports,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Financial Controls \u2013 to avoid errors, fraud and theft<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"choose\"><b>What made you choose to work at OOm?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s simple: after finding out more information about OOm on social media, I can clearly see how my goals align with the purposes of the company. There&#8217;s nothing I love more than working with other engaged individuals towards a common goal, and that&#8217;s what got me excited to work here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"teamwork\"><b>From your perspective, what is the key to excellent teamwork?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, there must be an excellent team leader. In my opinion, there also must be strong communication skills. Without good communication, things cannot be done well. Other keys to excellent teamwork are focused on outcomes, excellent problem solvers, and strong communicators.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"career\"><b>Tell us more about your career and how you ended up in OOm<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organizational abilities and attention to detail are among my strongest assets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before the recruiter called me about this opportunity, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I must admit that I didn&#8217;t know much about OOm.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I&#8217;ve been doing some research in preparation. I&#8217;m impressed by the work and company vision for the future. Giving back and volunteering is a significant part of my own personal values.
