Synopsis<\/h2>\n

To celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday, Paper Monkey Theatre presents The Man Who Planted Trees<\/i><\/strong>. The play was inspired by the timeless 1953 work The Man Who Planted Trees<\/i><\/strong> by French author Jean Giono. This imaginative and whimsical piece is designed for children aged 4 to 10, and pays tribute to Singapore\u2019s founding father, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, honouring his visionary leadership in transforming Singapore into a vibrant garden city.<\/p>\n

Through puppetry, vivid storytelling, and colourful visuals, audiences will embark on a journey with a kind-hearted character who, through hope and perseverance, plants trees. This symbolises the transformative power of dedication and vision. As the story unfolds, children will learn about the importance of environmental conservation, community building, and how small actions can lead to extraordinary achievements\u2014just as Mr. Lee Kuan Yew\u2019s dream turned Singapore into a globally renowned garden city.<\/p>\n

This heartwarming play is Paper Monkey Theatre\u2019s tribute to Singapore\u2019s 60 years of independence, reminding us of the foundations of the country\u2019s success while inspiring the next generation to set ambitious dreams for the future.
