\nTime: 9:00am \u2013 6:00pm (8 hours daily)
\nVenue: Goodman Arts Centre, 90 Goodman Road, Blk B, #01-03, Singapore 439053
\nCapacity: Limited to 20 participants<\/p>\n

The 4-day intensive workshop covers Potehi fundamentals, character movement, rhythm, coordination, and ensemble work. Participants will collaboratively prepare a short performance to be presented to 50 invited guests.<\/p>\n

Fee Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n

TOTAL: $350 per participant
\nWorkshop Fee: $250 per participant
\nDeposit Fee: $100 per participant
\nAttendance Incentive: Participants who complete all sessions (or meet eligible attendance criteria) we will return the $100 deposit fee.

Paper Monkey Theatre\u2019s Masterclass 2026 is part of its ongoing commitment to preserve, deepen, and transmit traditional Asian puppetry practices through rigorous professional training. This year we are honoured to have full support from Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. This immersive Potehi masterclass offers practitioners a rare opportunity to learn directly from a master puppeteer, engaging deeply with the form\u2019s techniques, aesthetics, and performance philosophy. The programme culminates in a short showcase, allowing participants to apply their learning in a performative context.<\/span><\/p>\n

Master Trainer<\/b><\/div>\n

\u67ef\u4e16\u5b8f Shih Hung Ko<\/b>\u00a0is an award-winning Potehi master from Taiwan and a core member of the renowned <\/span>Jinkweilo Puppet Troupe<\/u><\/b><\/a><\/span>. He has received multiple performance awards and is frequently invited to perform and speak at festivals, universities, and symposiums across Asia, Europe, and the United States<\/b>. Known for his expressive manipulation, musical sensitivity, and contemporary approach to tradition, Ken Ho is widely respected as a leading figure in modern Potehi performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
