The tenure is typically 6 years for a Single Unit Franchise and 10 years for an Area Franchise.<\/p>\n<p>The initial tenure of a Single Unit Franchise may be renewed for another 6 years, and the tenure of an Area Franchise may be renewed for another 10 years.<\/p>\n<p>Renewals are subject to the franchisee having not committed any material breach of the terms in the Franchise Agreement. There is a renewal fee to be paid and this fee will be based on the prevailing Franchise Fee at the time of the renewal. The renewal fee shall be paid before the expiry of the initial tenure.
