Opening up to someone else about our challenges and personal lives can be daunting, yet it can empower us to bring about meaningful change in ourselves and our relationships. Although there is now a lot of information and knowledge about mental health, we still face challenges to put what we know to practice and make tangible changes in our lives. My approach is grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity to make empowered choices and positive changes in their lives. A conversation is a great first step!<\/p>\n

My journey into counselling began with pursuing Psychology at University and staring my career in education in Singapore in 2011, where I taught both adolescent and adult learners. Supporting the students through their personal challenges led me to pursue further education in counselling. My experience in full-time counselling includes working in a secondary school for close to 8 years, focusing on social-emotional counselling and overseeing the career guidance programme.<\/p>\n

Adolescents<\/strong>
\nI specialize in working with adolescents and my area of focus are gifted and high ability students<\/a> and adults and their social emotional challenges. When working with adolescents, I take a proactive approach to support the parents and family.<\/p>\n

Adults<\/strong>
\nI work with adults in the areas of low mood, anxiety, stress, burnout, challenges with relationships, parenting and life transitions, including career guidance support.<\/p>\n

Couples and Families<\/strong>
\nWith couples and families, my therapeutic approach is informed by Reality Therapy<\/a> as it focuses on the relationship and how each person can learn to prioritise it while also meeting their own needs and wants.<\/p>\n

My goal is to help clients navigate their challenges and achieve personal growth through evidence-based strategies though a collaborative therapeutic process. My counselling practice is informed mainly by Choice Theory Reality Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
