Wild Rice is looking for an actor to join the cast of The Serangoon Gardens Techno Party of 1993<\/em>, a new play that will premiere as part of Wild Rice\u2019s 2025 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Written by Joel Tan and directed by Sim Yan Ying \u201cYY\u201d, The Serangoon Gardens Techno Party of 1993<\/em> tells the story of 16-year-old Candice as she embarks on the mind-bending adventure of a lifetime. In one night of youthful abandon, Candice experiences the darkness and rebellion simmering beneath the orderly surface of 1990s Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking to cast the role of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony<\/strong>, 18, white, a wild and entitled American boy who has been living in Singapore for a couple of years as the son of a diplomat. Mercurial, cocky and mischievous, Tony loves getting a rise out of people for his own entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performers must be able to convincingly play an 18-year-old, and will be required to perform in an American accent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
