It is the preview of life&#8217;s coming attractions.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/span> <\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><em><span style=\"color: #ff00ff; background-color: #ffffff;\">&#8211; Albert Einstein<\/span> <\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">W!LD RICE celebrates our 15th anniversary in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">To mark this milestone, which coincides with Singapore\u2019s 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary celebrations, the company will present \u2018imagiNATION\u2019, a season of exciting new productions inspired by the stars of the Singapore flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">The productions will include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li1\"><strong><i>Public Enemy<\/i><\/strong>, an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen&#8217;s powerful and timely classic, directed by Glen Goei and starring Ivan Heng and Lim Kay Siu, which will challenge the easy assumptions associated with <strong>DEMOCRACY<\/strong>;<\/li><li class=\"li1\"><strong><i>Another Country<\/i><\/strong>, a Singapore-Malaysia co-production that brings together the finest writers and performers from both sides of the Causeway to reflect on the history, culture and<i> <\/i><strong>PEACE <\/strong>shared by two countries that were separated at birth;<\/li><li class=\"li1\"><strong><i>HOTEL<\/i><\/strong>, a stirring epic that observes Singapore&#8217;s<i> <\/i><strong>PROGRESS<\/strong> through the prism of one hotel room and its inhabitants over the past ten decades. A Singapore International Festival of Arts commission, this production is written by Alfian Sa&#8217;at and Marcia Vanderstraaten, and directed by Ivan Heng and Glen Goei; and<\/li><li class=\"li1\"><strong><i>The Emperor&#8217;s New Clothes<\/i><\/strong>, a brand-new pantomime directed by Pam Oei and scripted by Joel Tan, that adds a cheeky local twist to Hans Christian Andersen&#8217;s classic fairy tale about <strong>EQUALITY.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWR15 coincides, of course, with SG50,\u201d said Ivan Heng, Artistic Director of W!LD RICE. \u201cThe entire country will be caught up in a year-long celebration of what makes us uniquely Singaporean, and we plan to join in the festivities in our very own W!LD way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cInspired by the stars of our flag, our goal is to give expression to the aspirations and values that have brought us thus far as a nation, and to understand them in the context of an increasingly complex modern society.
