Over\nthe past 20 years, WILD RICE has blazed the trail in creating and presenting\nuniquely Singaporean stories that have fired the public imagination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\nwas our greatest privilege and pleasure this year to bring you a\n20th-anniversary season dedicated to celebrating our best work in our intimate\nnew theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unfortunately,\nwe have had to postpone and reschedule much of our 2020 season, due to\ncircumstances beyond our control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nonetheless, we remain committed to our mission of providing a forum for the shared experience of theatre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are currently exploring creative ways in which we can digitally replicate the live experience of theatre in these socially distant times – through play readings, online workshops, streaming of our old shows and more. None of this can take the place of a true theatrical experience, which relies on the live encounter between performer and audience. But we will do all we can in this moment to keep sharing the magic of theatre to inspire and uplift audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meantime, we would like to express our gratitude to our audiences and supporters, whose kind words of encouragement have kept us going through these difficult times and given us the confidence to keep planning for a brighter future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
