ABOUT SHER LIN\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Sher Lin is a Senior Associate Director at Yeolaw Family Law Specialist, and she is the Head of the Conveyancing Department of the Firm.<\/span><\/p>\n

With more than 12 years of experience under her belt, Sher Lin is widely seen as an expert in laws relating to Property and HDB law. She has advised divorcing or divorced clients on matters pertaining to their properties and the laws relating to it. She also routinely advises clients on the practical and legal pitfalls as well as how to prevent it when they sell, rent or transfer the properties\/flat during a divorce or separation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the years, she has dealt with various clients with very different situations and needs; attending to each one accordingly and drafted very practical, workable and fair Draft Orders for subsequent uses for sale in open market, part-share sales or transfer of ownership.<\/span><\/p>\n

After her graduation from law school in 2005, Sher Lin worked in one of the then \u201cBig Four Law Firm\u201d and has been not only a colleague,\u00a0but also a good friend of\u00a0Ms Beatrice Yeo (Managing Director and Founder of Yeolaw Family Law Specialist). Sher Lin has been extensively involved in several aspects of conveyancing and real estate transactions with over 2000 cases on her record. Her all-round and flexible trait when it comes to handling cases and clients alike have been greatly praised, making her a crucial member of the law firm.<\/span><\/p>\n

CAREER<\/span><\/h4>\n

Sher Lin is equipped with in-depth knowledge in real estate, landlord and tenancy, and property trusts instruments. As she has consistently acted for purchasers, vendors and developers in the sale and purchase of residential, commercial and industrial projects, her competency in her chosen field continues to grow with each case.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her many years in the industry, she has also managed the purchase of both HDB and private residential and commercial properties for both individual and corporate clients including their loan mortgages and Central Provident Fund withdrawals.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to acting for vendors in the sale and redemption of their properties, her proficiency in her practiced area has also attracted major companies such as banks and several financial institutions when it comes to in-housing and commercial loans. Other than that, Sher Lin has also acted for landlords and tenants in drafting and vetting of tenancy agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among her many milestones, the most notable one is when she was a part of the legal team which acted for the owners of Rose Garden in the en-bloc sale of 188 units to Dover Rise Ltd, with a sale value of S$169.8 million in 2007. Later on, she was also involved in other large-scale en-bloc sales like Pine Gardens and Laguna Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ever since she joined Yeolaw Family Law Specialist she has also been acting for the firm\u2019s divorced couples in their settlement of the matrimonial HDB flat\/private property pursuant to the terms of the divorce court order. With her extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law, Sher Lin has helped many clients with her ability to solve their legal issues in insightful and creative ways. They are assured of timely, thorough and thoughtful service and appreciate her focus and dedication.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her clients applaud her for her immense patience and outstanding guidance when it comes to dealing with cases in her area of practice. She is well-versed in both English and Mandarin.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aside from being a lawyer, Sher Lin is also a mother of two daughters. When she has free time, she takes it as a chance to travel and catch up on her Korean drama series.<\/span><\/p>\n
