We see each practice trainee as a gem in the rough, and our training contract in Singapore is built around discovering that brilliance and buffing out the weaknesses, through structured exposure across our Practice Groups and direct involvement in live client matters from an early stage.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>We aim to take on no more than one trainee per Practice Group each year. This deliberate intake allows each trainee to work closely with Directors and senior lawyers, receive regular feedback, and take on real responsibility rather than routine support work. Trainees are expected to exercise initiative and sound judgment, and are given the room to do so.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Trainees who are called to the Singapore Bar and complete the training programme satisfactorily can expect to be retained.
