巴基斯坦的“慈怀天使”艾德希（Abdul Sattar Edhi）在23岁时创办了当时巴基斯坦规模最大的非营利慈善——艾德希基金会（Edhi Foundation），向弱势和穷苦人民伸出援手。最为人知晓的是由他发起、1500辆救护车所组成的紧急救援车队。这支全球最庞大的民间自愿救护车随传随到，不分种族宗教，冒着生命危险救济所有伤者、病人，即使遇上恐怖袭击和天灾等都不停驶。艾德希去年7月8日逝世，享年88岁。
