Mr. Stan Isaacs earned his Bachelor of Optometry with Honours from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1975, receiving the Martin Wells Prize for Diseases of the Eye. He completed his Master of Optometry in 1976, winning the Hydron Prize for Advanced Contact Lens Theory and Practice. Transitioning to private practice in 1977, he specialized in paediatric optometry and contact lenses. Mr. Isaacs founded the Singapore Optometric Association in 1980 and has been President of The Singapore Contact Lens Society since 1990. He pioneered orthokeratology (Ortho-K) in Singapore and obtained his PhD in 2004 for his research on corneal effects under Ortho-K.
