Frequently Asked
Questions
-
What is the Singapore ONE Pass?
The Singapore ONE Pass (Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass) is a 5-year personalized work visa issued by MOM for top global professionals. Unlike other passes, it is not tied to a specific employer, allowing holders to work across multiple companies.
-
Who is eligible for the Singapore ONE Pass?
You need to meet one route. On the salary route, you must have earned a fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 for the 12 consecutive months before applying, or be offered that salary by an established Singapore-based company. The S$30,000 must come from one employer. An established company has a market capitalisation of at least US$500 million or annual revenue of at least US$200 million. Alternatively, you can apply on outstanding achievements in sports, arts and culture, or academia and research, without meeting the salary criterion. Our complete ONE Pass guide covers each route.
-
Can ONE Pass holders start a business in Singapore?
Yes. Unlike standard work passes, the ONE Pass lets holders concurrently start, operate and work for multiple companies in Singapore, subject to the terms of any employment contract, without applying for a new pass each time. Each company still has to be incorporated with ACRA, which VIVOS can handle alongside your pass application.
-
What happens if I change jobs while holding the ONE Pass?
The ONE Pass is not tied to one employer, so you can change jobs, take on concurrent roles or move industries without reapplying for a pass. You still need to notify MOM each year of your professional activities and annual income, by 31 January of the following year.
-
Can my spouse work in Singapore under the ONE Pass?
Yes. Your legally married spouse may apply for a Dependant’s Pass and subsequently obtain a Letter of Consent (LOC), permitting them to work or operate a business in Singapore without applying for a separate work pass.
-
What is considered an "established company" for eligibility?
An established company has a market capitalisation of at least US$500 million or annual revenue of at least US$200 million. MOM can consider combined figures across the company’s global offices, case by case.
For renewal, a business owner must have started and be operating a Singapore-based company that employs at least 5 locals, each earning a gross monthly salary of at least the prevailing EP minimum qualifying salary. The alternative renewal route is an average fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 over the past 5 years in Singapore.
-
Is there a quota or foreign worker levy for ONE Pass holders?
No, there is no quota or levy required, unlike other work passes.
-
How long does a ONE Pass application take?
MOM processes most ONE Pass applications within 4 weeks. Applications under the outstanding achievements route can take longer if the relevant agencies need to assess further, and any request for more documents also extends the timeline. VIVOS tracks your application status and manages MOM correspondence throughout.
-
How do I renew a ONE Pass?
The ONE Pass is renewable for 5 years each time, and you can apply up to 6 months before it expires. To renew, you need either an average fixed monthly salary of at least S$30,000 over the past 5 years in Singapore, or a Singapore-based company that you started and operate, employing at least 5 locals who each earn at least the prevailing EP minimum qualifying salary.
-
What are the government fees for a ONE Pass?
MOM charges S$105 when you submit the application and S$225 when the pass is issued, plus S$30 for a Multiple Journey Visa if applicable. These are government fees only.
-
What is the ONE Pass (AI and Tech) track?
From 28 January 2027, MOM opens an AI and Tech track of the ONE Pass, replacing Tech.Pass for new applications. Applicants need at least S$30,000 a month for 12 consecutive months (at least S$22,500 as fixed salary, with the rest able to include vested non-cash pay such as ESOP or ESOW), at least 5 years in founder, C-suite or technical roles within the past 10 years, and a qualifying tech employer. New Tech.Pass applications close on 27 January 2027. See our guide to the Tech.Pass to ONE Pass transition.
