We provided legal advisory services to a Korean reinsurer regarding the preparation and review of its tenancy documentations. This involved a thorough examination of the lease agreements to ensure that all terms and conditions were in compliance with the relevant local laws and regulations, as well as proposing amendments to the agreements to ensure that their rights and interests are adequately protected.

Outcome

As a result of our meticulous review of the tenancy documentations, the client successfully secured a lease agreement that was both legally sound and strategically advantageous. The finalised tenancy agreement provided the reinsurer with favourable terms, minimising potential risks and liabilities while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

We assisted a global insurance broker with contract reviews and regulatory compliance.

Our services included conducting due diligence on third parties associated with the company and its affiliates in Asia, generating and updating client due diligence records in the company system, and performing client screening using the company’s systems. We also filtered and processed adverse responses from the annual fit and proper assessment of regulated staff, senior managers, and material risk personnel, as well as provided support in drafting compliance policies and guidelines and assisted in conducting compliance and assurance reviews as needed.

Additionally, we reviewed various contracts to ensure their validity and enforceability under Singapore law, focusing on the company’s non-negotiable terms, risk management considerations, and protection of rights and interests. This included reviewing contracts based on both the company’s and clients’ templates, preparing Statements of Work under master services agreements, and assisting with updates to the company’s contract templates.
