Project Details

We advised a Japanese IT services and consulting company on obtaining a license under Singapore’s Payment Services Act 2019. Our work included preparing and reviewing required documents, guiding on AML/CFT policies, managing the application process, and liaising with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to ensure compliance. We provided comprehensive support from document preparation to application submission, and acted as the main point of contact with MAS, ensuring a smooth and compliant licensing process.

Outcome

As a result of the comprehensive legal support provided, client was able to submit a compliant application for a license under Singapore’s Payment Services Act 2019.

Project Details

We provided extensive legal advisory services to a Singapore child education centre, focusing on employment, shareholder matters, and the review and amendment of critical contractual documents to ensure compliance with Singapore law.

We started by thoroughly reviewing several key documents provided by the centre, including employment contract templates for both supply teachers and full-time teachers (local and foreign), as well as signed employment contracts and a contract for services. After identifying areas that required improvement, we amended these contracts to align them with the Employment Act 1968 and the latest guidelines from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). We also reviewed and amended other important documents provided by the centre, such as consent forms and undertaking agreements, by identifying potential concerns and amending their language to better protect the centre’s rights.

Throughout the process, we provided support and guidance where necessary, ensuring that the centre fully understood their legal implications. Our work ensured that the centre’s employment and service agreements were both legally robust and well-suited to their operational needs, reducing potential risks and enhancing compliance with Singapore law.

Outcome

As a result of our legal services, the client now has employment contracts, service agreements, and other key documents that fully comply with Singapore law and are specifically tailored to safeguard their interests. The revised agreements and documents more legally robust and better aligned with the centre’s operational needs. This has significantly reduced the centre’s legal risks, ensuring smoother operations and providing a stronger legal framework for managing both employment relationships and interactions with parents and service providers.
