ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Give the Gift of Theatre today and help Wild Rice share the magic of theatre with those who might not otherwise be able to experience a show live. These include underprivileged children and youths, students and the elderly, as well as people living with disabilities and their caregivers.

Every dollar raised under this scheme will help us improve access to our venue and our productions – from providing free and/or subsidised tickets to offering performances designed to accommodate patrons with different requirements.

We kickstarted this initiative in 2013, and have since welcomed over 4,500 beneficiaries to our shows – working with partner organisations like ARC Children’s Centre, Children’s Cancer Foundation, Beyond Social Services, Down Syndrome Association, Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations and more.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

When you Give the Gift of Theatre, you enable us to welcome more audiences with diverse needs to enjoy a live show at our theatre.

We need to raise $50,000 to keep this programme running.

With your support, we will be able to keep offering:

  • Free or subsidised tickets to needy beneficiaries
  • Touch tours and audio-described performances for the visually impaired
  • Captioned performances for the deaf and hard-of-hearing
  • Relaxed performances for audiences with neurodiverse needs

*Terms & Conditions:

  • Wild Rice’s Give the Gift of Theatre runs from 4 August 2026 to 30 November 2026
  • All donations received will be matched under the Tote Board’s Enhanced Fundraising Programme, according to these terms: (i) The Tote Board will match 20% of funds raised, capped at $50,000 per application; (ii) the government will match 30% of funds raised, capped at $75,000 per charity applicant per financial year.
  • Only donations made through the following channels are eligible to be matched under the Tote Board’s Enhanced Fundraising Programme.
