Best Family Photoshoot Location – Let’s go to Botanic Gardens!

As a family photographer with 15 years experience, one of my favourite go-to location for Family Photoshoots is the Botanic Gardens. It’s at an easily accessible central location, plenty of car parking, wheelchair-friendly plus there are lots of food option for before and after your photoshoot!

There are also lots of benches dotted throughout the park (these benches make for great photos spots too!), wash rooms are a short walk from each other. All in all, personally I find it one of the most family-friendly photoshoot venue in Singapore!

Gorgeous backlit morning sunlight – Shot 8:30AM at Singapore Botanic Gardens Tanglin Gate
I like to wove in abit of play elements during any Family Photoshoots – running, tickling, these make for not only cute pictures but keep things light and fun for the little ones too!

The Swan Lake Gazebo

The Swan Lake is a little spot that little children particularly enjoys.
“Can you spot the turtle?”
“Oh look, there’s the swan! She is so graceful!”

The morning light there is usually soft and creamy, perfect for dreamy family portraits. It is also a great spot for a quick water-break!

There is this tiny little spot that’s infront of the Swan Lake Gazebo that I can count on to always have gorgeous dreamy sunlight. The fallen leaves on the ground provides a very warm colouring that adds to the whole vibe of the image. Major love!

For more active little boys, I always have a (running!) race with them and this produces great candid images. Look at that little grin and happy sprint. Portraits that are priceless!

Some undirected pictures, journalist-style. A picture speaks a thousand words indeed.
Taken approximately 9Am along Singapore Botanic Gardens, Dell Lane.

“My photography style is a mixture of Documentary / Journalistic.
I do some directing and let the magic happens.”
