In Oh Dear Studio, we emphasis more on good photography and timeless portraits instead of over-crowding baby with props and things. All Cake Smash Photo Shoot Experience with us are inclusive of family lifestyle portraits, 2 or 3 different settings in our gorgeous colonial shophouse studio, as well as individual portraits.

Our all-female team will ensure your session is as stress-free as possible. With over 13 years of photography experiences, our photographers are mothers themselves and understand how to interact with little ones.

Frequrntly Asked Questions for Cake Smash PhotoShoot Experience

Do the studio provide cake for the cake smash?

No. Photo Studios do not have F&B license to provide food. Please bring in a small cake of your choice. A small half KG cake or 4-5inches cake is sufficient.

What kind of cake should I bring in?

This depends on your individual preference as well as if baby has any allergy. Cream cakes / Fruit cakes /or even Jelly cakes. Be creative!

What should baby wear during the cake smashing?

Wearing a birthday suit is very adorable! Baby can be wearing just diapers (or little shorts/skirts). Or if you prefer, baby could be wearing a simple romper or dress.

What should I pack for a Cake Smash Photoshoot?

Here’s a list of what to pack for a Cake Smash Photoshoot

#2 Towels (to dry baby off)
#3 Plenty of wet wipes (to clean baby)
#4 Baby’s favourite snacks (to encourage baby to pick up cake)

Are props provided?

Our style is minimum, classic and contemporary. We emphasis on the natural interaction and smiles from our subject. We have all that we need in the studio. But of course if there’s anything personalised you would like to bring (flowers, bear, toy) feel free to bring in.
Do note: Cake stands will be provided.

Is there anything I should take note of during the Cake Smash?

Put baby down in-front of cake and gently encourage her to touch the cake (new things might be scary for babies!). Refrain from saying “no” during the cake smashing. Cake Smash PhotoShoot Experience is fun. Just enjoy every little moments!

Pro-tips for Cake Smash photoshoot

– Arrange a timing where baby is most alert, preferably in the morning
– Coordinate your outfits, comfortable light linen clothings look good
– Arrive 5 to 10mins ahead of your scheduled time to let baby familiarises herself
– Avoid distracting Baby when photographer is photographing her

Family Photoshooting is one of my MUST do list every year since my 1st girl turned 1 year old in 2018 .
