SingLand to redevelop Marina Square with three new towers by 2031

Marina Square Shopping Mall will close on 31 March 2027 to facilitate construction.

Singapore Land Group Limited (SingLand) will partially redevelop the 9.2-hectare Marina Square complex, adding three new towers and overhauling the existing retail mall, with completion expected by 2031.

The redevelopment will introduce a 49-storey residential tower, a 24-storey serviced apartment block, and a 19-storey mixed-use building comprising a 304-key hotel and about 13,000 sq m of premium Grade A office net lettable area.

The three towers will be integrated with the complex's existing hotels — Pan Pacific Singapore, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore, and Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.

The three hotels will remain operational throughout the works.

Meanwhile, Marina Square Shopping Mall will close on 31 March 2027 to facilitate construction. The mall will undergo an asset enhancement initiative covering more than 76,000 sq m of gross floor area (GFA).

SingLand said a 6,500 sq m public park will be built above Stamford Canal. The project will also include more than 4,000 sq m of privately owned public space, a 700 sq m event venue, and a 300 sq m central atrium within the mall.

The redevelopment will also comprise public parks, arts and cultural spaces, and sports and wellness facilities.

The project will capitalise on a recent GFA uplift, bringing the site's gross floor area to about 362,493 sq m.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
